CueEdit Shooting Room privacy

This private preparation tool is for its owner's use. Google sign-in verifies the approved Google account. The server checks the signed account identity and verified email, and retains the Google account's unique identifier to recognize the same account. It does not retain Google ID tokens.

The existing personal passphrase remains available as an alternative to Google sign-in. Signing in creates a private session so that this device stays signed in: it lasts 60 days from the last day you used it, and never more than 180 days after you signed in. You can end it at any time with Sign out. The installed app keeps only its icons and an offline page on your device, never your scripts or requests. Google sign-in does not give CueEdit access to Google Drive, Docs, Gmail or offline access.

The server stores the list of scripts your laptop sends, the requests you make here (with any research files you add) and their progress in its private database. Data remains until the owner removes it. The connected laptop worker reads your requests and carries them out with CueEdit on the laptop, which uses the laptop's configured assistant service.

When the owner has given the server the keys for it, the server also fetches the owner's channels' numbers and comments from YouTube, Instagram and Facebook every half hour, sends the replies the owner ticks, and uses Anthropic's Claude API (with a monthly spending limit) to draft replies and write scripts the owner asks for; what is sent to Claude is the comments or the request and the research the owner added. Without those keys it does none of this. Google operates its own sign-in service under its privacy policy. Google privacy policy.

YouTube and Instagram in the CueEdit app

The CueEdit desktop app on the owner's laptop connects to the owner's own YouTube channels (YouTube Data API and YouTube Analytics API) and Instagram accounts (Instagram Graph API). It reads each channel's videos, numbers and comments, and, only when the owner presses send on a preview, updates a video's title, description, tags and thumbnail, posts the owner's own videos and pictures to Instagram, and posts the owner's replies to comments. This data is kept on the owner's laptop and, when the server has the keys, in this server's private database; it is not sold, shared with others or used for advertising. CueEdit's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Access can be removed at any time at Google account permissions and in Meta Business Settings. YouTube data is used under the YouTube Terms of Service.
